Aqib Khan is an active volunteer with the Aligarh Alumni Association (AAA) of Washington, DC, where he contributes to organizing, hosting, and fundraising for various events that strengthen the alumni community. A proud alumnus of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aqib holds an MS and Ph.D. from National Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan and is currently a Research Fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), focusing on the discovery of new antibiotics.

I am Aqib Khan, a proud alumnus of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), where I had the privilege of residing in Ross Masood Hall (RM), a place that holds countless memories and played a vital role in shaping my academic and personal journey.After completing my studies at AMU, I pursued an MS degree in 2014, followed by a Ph.D. from National Sun Yat-sen University, Taiwan.
I am a Research fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), working on the discovery of new medicines, particularly antibiotics, to combat global health challenges. AMU has been more than just a university for me: it has been a home, a mentor, and a guiding force that continues to inspire me.
As part of the Alumni Association, I look forward to staying connected, fostering collaborations, and giving back to the institution that laid the foundation for my journey.
